Georgina Grenier is a painter and printmaker residi and working in Southwestern Maine.

She makes large-scale linoleum and wood block prints and paintings to draw attention to the fragile ecology of Maine forests. Her work is derived from hours of walking through local forests and microscopic study of the minute life in local ponds and pools. Georgina has built her own printing press and photo silkscreen apparatus which she uses to combine etching, relief printing, monotype and photo-silkscreen  techniques that document intricate details of surface, color and form. Her award-winning work has also engaged with local and an international community in writing and book creation projects that explore how we view truth and certainty in a time when our environment needs relief and our culture is rapidly changing.
